2-Year Warranty
Whiteway Plumbing provides a 2-year warranty on select recommended repairs. Whenever applicable, we offer various repair options to address your plumbing issues. Each suggested solution is a reliable choice, and we stand behind the quality of our recommendations. Your plumber will discuss the differences, explaining how some options may be more preventive than others in minimizing future plumbing problems.

For those opting for certain recommended repairs—typically the ones best suited to prevent future maintenance—we offer the peace of mind of a 2-year warranty. This ensures that your plumbing needs are resolved with expertise and care. While the warranty generally covers most situations, it may have certain limitations depending on the specific items. Each part of the plumbing system is unique and may have varying vulnerabilities, but in most cases, as long as there is no misuse, the warranty remains valid.

Valve Limitations
The 2-year warranty does not apply to pressure-reducing valves (PRVs), washing machine valves, ice maker valves, hose bibs, fixture stops, or fixture supply lines. These items are, however, covered under a full 1-year warranty.

Both 1-year and 2-year warrantied items will be replaced with similar or equivalent parts, including necessary labor. After the first year of installation, manufacturer warranties should be handled directly by the product’s consumer. To file a warranty claim, please contact our office at 226 486 1174, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 5 PM (regular business hours). All warranty claims must be scheduled during these hours and may take up to two days to address. Emergency charges apply to service requests outside regular business hours; no warranty work is available on weekends or national holidays.

Standard 1-Year Warranty Limitations and Restrictions

Toilet Repair and Installation:

Warranty is void if in-tank cleaners have been used or if water pressure exceeds 80 psi.
The warranty does not cover repairs due to uneven floors, tile or grout damage, broken flanges, deteriorated wax rings, or a rocking toilet.

New Fixtures:
The warranty does not cover clogs caused by foreign objects in the garbage disposal or other blockages.
The warranty does not cover customer-supplied fixtures. Whiteway Plumbing recommends customers review the manufacturer’s warranty before purchasing any plumbing products.
Non-standard repairs or repairs outside the scope of the service invoice are not covered.

Sewage Ejectors and Sump Pumps:
The warranty does not cover clogging or contamination from foreign materials in the sewage pit or sump pump.
Damage from electrical surges or loss of power is not covered.

Circulation Pumps and Water Heaters:
The warranty is void if power failure causes a burnout of the pump or water heater element.
Evidence of water being turned off or exceeding 80 psi may void the warranty.
Air in the lines or malfunctioning check valves also void the warranty.

Drain Replacement or Pipe Cleaning:
While we will address drain problems, sewer cleaning, and pipe replacement, the warranty does not cover future clogs or backups. Any additional work required due to recurring issues will incur extra charges.

Limitations & Restrictions for 1-Year and 2-Year Warranties:
Warranty is void if plumbing system pressure exceeds 80 psi.
The warranty does not cover damage from freezing, and homeowners must take reasonable precautions to prevent freezing (e.g., letting faucets drip in sub-freezing temperatures).
The warranty excludes coverage for drainage system clogs or issues with installed fixtures.
It does not cover connections to plumbing that do not meet code or use Sharkbite® fittings or similar non-standard components.
Connections to water filters or adapters from filters to our piping are not covered.
The warranty includes repairing or replacing newly installed components or associated piping.
It does not cover water remediation, drying, or damage to structures, property, or personal belongings due to water backup or leakage.
The warranty does not apply to existing systems, appliances, fixtures, or homeowner-supplied materials.
Piping or fitting damage related to hot water recirculation systems (including improper pump specifications, high temperatures, high pressure, or incorrect installation) is excluded.

Warranty Exclusions for Certain Piping Materials:
Polybutylene® (Poly B) pipe or any piping involved in class-action lawsuits.
Nibco®, Viega®, or Vanguard PEX® pipe.
Galvanized or lead pipes.
Type M copper pipe installed underground or on well water systems.
